Jesse Simon

General Manager

When he was 15 years old, Jesse Simon took a job as a Mate and Deckhand on charter boats and discovered that he was in his element, taking guests on excursions and sharing his love of Long Island’s waters and seafood. Even then, Jesse Simon felt drawn to a career path that combined his love of water with his growing interest in hospitality, leading him to a place that epitomized both: Fire Island. Jesse’s early training on Fire Island gave him a solid understanding of restaurant operations as he worked his way up from busser to server to bartender. Jesse expanded his guest management skills as the founder and manager of a vacation rental business on Fire Island. He also gained valuable experience in resort hospitality during seasonal work in St. Croix and Colorado.

Jesse returned to Long Island to earn his BS in Business Management from Stony Brook University with the goal to create new opportunities in the restaurant industry. He refined his management skills on the job and on the water at JT’s on the Bay. After graduating from SBU in 2017, Jesse sailed directly to his love of hospitality management as Manager of the Westhampton Bath & Tennis Club. He then served as Partner and General Manager of JT’s Farmhouse, followed by two years as Manager of Piccolo of Huntington.

Jesse Simon became General Manager of the waterfront View restaurant in 2023, a role that coalesces his lifelong dedication to excellence in guest service and food in a seaside atmosphere. “I am here to be a team player—whatever needs to be done to enhance the guest experience is what matters. Our goal at View is to give the customer an everlasting experience. When we create an amazing atmosphere for guests to dine and forget about everyday stresses for the time they are with us, we have done our job well.”
